DITEST-SHM Solution selected for bridge structural health monitoring
Göta älvbron chooses Omnisens-Smartec’s Health Monitoring System.
The Göta bridge, one of the busiest in Sweden, has four traffic lanes for cars, buses and tramways and two lanes reserved for pedestrians and bicycles. Smartec has instrumented the five main beams of the bridge using various monitoring systems including the DiTeSt system and SMARTapes sensors, all of which are fibre optic based, while providing other services such as warning software, data analysis and maintenance.
