How many measurement locations can be monitored with a “fiber optic distributed sensor”?

How many measurement locations can be monitored with a “fiber optic distributed sensor”?

The DITEST system measures up to 100’000 points in a single measurement.

The number of independent distance points depends only on the system spatial resolution, i.e. the capabilities of the system to measure two adjacent locations with the full accuracy. The acquisition allows having more than one point per spatial resolution distance interval.

The minimum distance interval between two measured points is 0.1 m but is typically set to half or one third of the spatial resolution.
