OMNISENS INTRODUCES THE NEW DITEST STA-R MODEL
The DITEST STA-R Series is the latest model of the fiber optic sensing system using the Brillouin-based technique pioneered by Omnisens. It offers superior measurement performance, flexibility and extended monitoring capabilities.
FEATURES
The DITEST STA-R was designed to respond to the growing demand of the industry for more and more complex structural monitoring solutions. It combines the versatility and flexibility of a Test & Measurement instrument with the requirements of long term automatic and unattended monitoring.
The DITEST STA-R offers :
- Superior monitoring performance in terms of distance range (up to 50km per channel)
- Robust optical budget to support the most demanding deployment conditions.
- High spatial resolution (as low as 0.5m) enables the identification and localization of small and localized temperature and strain variations.
The DITEST STA-R is designed to work with Omnisens DRM Series of distance range extension modules and can therefore provide maintained strain and temperature monitoring performance over 125 km with 1 meter resolution.
Permanent automatic and unattended monitoring sets challenging requirements on the instrumentation. The DITEST STA-R integrates innovative intelligent measurement control and auto-configuration capabilities which constantly adjust the measurement settings to the monitoring conditions and to continuously maintain highest measurement performance. It was designed to offer full remote control capabilities of multiple instruments and advanced data management, storage, interpretation and analysis.
The Graphical User Interface is well adapted to complex monitoring applications combining temperature and strain measurement sections and features a library of pre-configured calibrated sensing elements.
The DITEST STA-R product as a Test & Measurement is a high performance all purpose strain analyzer which finds applications in optical fibers and cables manufacturing for quality control and test activities, in the telecommunication for troubleshooting activities on installed cables, in defense applications for fiber coils quality control, in civil and geotechnical engineering for the development of new structural health monitoring systems, etc.
The DITEST STA-R is the core of the Omnisens DITEST monitoring solutions which provide system solutions tailored to the requirements of a variety of applications in the Oil & Gas, Power, Civil and Geotechnical engineering industries.
